The teaching period is divided into three parts: basic courses from September to December, options in January and February, and the internship from March to July. Around 10% of the lectures are shared with the master MIO (Master en Ingénierie Optique), a master’s degree offering professional training in optics.
The Common Core (September-December) offers fundamental courses on the various aspects of light-matter interaction, as well as intensive experimental and numerical practice. The current year’s timetable is available here.

The options (January-February) enable you to discover a wide range of very active research fields, with many internship and thesis topics on offer. At least 4 of the 6 options must be chosen. Two options offered by the M2 ICFP Quantum Physics (Quantum metrology and Optomechanics and Quantum nanomechanics) can be taken in addition.
